| I may be the only one that has ever drawn blood while bowling.
My heel stuck a bit early just as i started my upswing. My feet stuck, but my momentum launched my body over the foul line and into the lane and gutter. Quite embarrasing. I have a good sized gash on my left palm from it.
But I played on.

| I had to take Wednesday off because I was going insane. Between thinking of planning a wedding, getting married, being married, possibly moving, looking for a new job, not getting a new job, being stuck at a crappy job, dealing with the stress of this crappy job, and being constantly on the run... I just needed to chill a bit.
I needed a day away from the stress of everyday life. And it was way worth it to have a day of doing nothing. I think i'm going to instutute more of these into my life. Sure it'll be tough to build up a good amount of vacation, but i think its important.
If I can just find a way to work in the siesta.

| Some say I'm moving too fast. Including the California Highway Patrol, who thought that 95 MPH was too fast to drive on a freeway. Fortunately he wrote me for 80 and wasn't a d!ck. | | |

On Sunday, April 23rd, 2006, my life was forever changed. That's the day I proposed to Tracy.
So here's the story.........
Ray had planned on proposing to Tracy
in the snow at Northstar-at-Tahoe, off the main runs between the trees where
they could be a bit isolated. There he would pop the question. That was the
plan—but of course it wouldn't go as smoothly as planned.
All day Saturday, Ray tried to get her to follow him off the main trails, but
the snow was so sticky that it was hard to maneuver on the un-groomed snow. Tracy fell a few times,
once pretty hard, and decided she wasn't going through there again that day. So
he went through the day, cautiously snowboarding with a big secret in his
pocket, constantly in fear it would fall out of the zippered jacket pocket.
Back at the hotel, He hid it in his bag and hoped to present it to her the following
day.
On Sunday, they were off to a really late start and only planned on boarding
for a few hours. It was gloomy and foggy most of the day, and there were a few
opportunities where he was about to take the ring box out of the pocket, but Tracy would take off down
the mountain again. Ray sat in the snow in despair thinking that the timing
would never be right, especially with the dark clouds looming overhead.
A few runs later, just after 1pm, they were boarding down
the backside of the mountain, on a run called "Challenger.", Ray had
suggested that she veer off the main trail to the left where the snow was
fresh. Tracy
went ahead for a bit, and then stopped to adjust her backpack. She was about to
take off again until Ray caught up to her, stopped in front of her and went
down to both of his knees, panting in exhaustion. At this time, the clouds had
parted for about 15 minutes and the sun was shining brightly. Snow was still
falling lightly, and no one was around. The moment was as perfect as Ray could've
hoped for. He pulled out the ring box, and said "I've got a little
something for you..." opened the box and showed her the ring. She went
down to her knees, looked at the ring, then looked at Ray, her eyes filling
with tears. She laid out in the snow trying to collect her thoughts, then came
back up. Ray quietly asked, "Will You Marry Me?” Tracy squeaked out an equally quiet
"YES". They embraced and kissed and she looked at the ring again. Ray
had hardly heard the first yes, so he asked again, just to confirm.
"YES".
